By registering and listing your products on Brassitem.com, you agree to comply with this Seller Policy, along with our Terms & Conditions, Payment Policy, Return & Refund Policy, and applicable laws of India.

1. Scope of the Seller Policy

This policy applies to all sellers registered on www.brassitem.com, including manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and artisans offering brass products to customers in India and abroad. It governs product listings, order management, payments, dispute resolution, and compliance requirements.

2. Seller Registration and Eligibility

Registration Requirements

Sellers must provide valid banking information to receive payments
We reserve the right to reject or suspend registrations that do not meet eligibility criteria

3. Seller Responsibilities

Once registered, sellers are expected to:

4. Product Listing Guidelines

                                 Sellers must list only genuine, original, and legally permissible products
 Prohibited/restricted items (counterfeit goods, illegal products, unsafe items) are strictly forbidden
 Product descriptions, images, and specifications must be accurate, clear, and not misleading
 Sellers are responsible for ensuring their products comply with BIS standards, safety norms, labelling, and packaging regulations (where applicable)
 Duplicate, false, or spam listings are not allowed

                            

5. Inventory Management

Stock Management

Sellers are responsible for updating stock availability in real-time

Out of Stock Items

Orders cannot be accepted for out-of-stock products without clear communication to buyers

Bulk orders should be handled with proper inventory planning to ensure timely delivery

6. Order Fulfilment

                                 Orders must be processed and shipped within the committed time frame
 Sellers must provide tracking details once the order is dispatched
 Delays should be communicated proactively to buyers, along with revised delivery timelines
 If unable to fulfil an order, the seller must cancel the order and inform both the buyer and platform immediately
 Delayed or failed dispatches may result in order cancellation, penalties, or account suspension

                            

7. Pricing & Invoicing

Pricing Freedom

Sellers are free to set product prices but must ensure transparency and fairness

Tax Compliance

Prices must be inclusive of all applicable taxes (GST)

Invoicing

A valid GST invoice must be issued to buyers for every order

Sellers must not engage in unfair pricing, predatory discounts, or price manipulation.

8. Payment & Settlements

Payment Process

Buyer payments are collected by Brassitem.com (LockersAdda) and held in trust until order completion
Seller payouts are made to the registered bank account after deducting:
- Platform commission fees
- Payment gateway charges
- Applicable GST/taxes
Settlement timeline: 7-10 business days after successful order delivery (subject to returns/refunds)
Any disputes in payment should be reported within the specified timeframe as detailed in the dispute resolution process

9. Commission & Fees

                                 Brassitem.com charges sellers a commission on each successful order, along with applicable GST on commission
 The exact commission percentage varies by product category and will be communicated to the seller at the time of onboarding
 Additional charges may apply for optional services (advertising, promotions, premium listings)
 All payments will be processed to the registered bank account after deducting applicable charges

                            

10. Returns, Refunds, and Disputes

Sellers must honour returns and refunds as per the platform's Return and Refund Policy

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes raised by customers should be addressed promptly, and sellers are expected to cooperate with the platform's mediation process

Final Decision

The decision of Brassitem.com in such disputes will be final and binding

Repeated or unresolved disputes may lead to penalties or account suspension

Sellers may escalate unresolved disputes as per the Dispute Resolution Policy

11. Prohibited Activities

Prohibited Activities

Sellers must not engage in the following:

Listing counterfeit or banned products
Falsifying invoices or misrepresenting product attributes
Engaging in fraudulent transactions or payment manipulation
Providing false shipping information or withholding delivery details
Harassing customers or responding aggressively to disputes

Violation of these guidelines may result in account suspension, legal action, or removal from the platform.

12. Performance & Penalties

Brassitem.com monitors seller performance based on:

Order acceptance & dispatch rate
Timely delivery & low cancellation rate
Return/refund ratio
Customer feedback and reviews

Consequences

Failure to maintain performance standards may lead to:

Warnings and temporary restrictions
Monetary penalties or withholding of payouts
Permanent suspension or termination of seller account

13. Intellectual Property Compliance

                                 Sellers are responsible for ensuring that the products listed do not infringe on trademarks, patents, or copyrights
 If an IP complaint is raised against a product, sellers must cooperate with the platform and the complainant during investigation

14. Tax Compliance

Sellers are responsible for complying with all applicable taxes, including GST and export duties

Invoicing

Invoices must be issued accurately with proper tax details

Non-Compliance

Non-compliance may lead to penalties, delays in payment settlement, or account restrictions

Sellers must handle customer data with confidentiality and only use it for fulfilling orders and customer service

Sharing or misusing customer data for third-party marketing, fraud, or illegal activities is strictly prohibited
