This Seller Policy governs the rights, responsibilities, and obligations of sellers ("you", "seller", or "vendor") on Brassitem.com, an online marketplace operated by Lockersadda. By registering and listing your products on Brassitem.com, you agree to comply with this Seller Policy, along with our Terms & Conditions, Payment Policy, Return & Refund Policy, and applicable laws of India.

Once registered, sellers are expected to:

  • Sellers must list only genuine, original, and legally permissible products
  • Prohibited/restricted items (counterfeit goods, illegal products, unsafe items) are strictly forbidden
  • Product descriptions, images, and specifications must be accurate, clear, and not misleading
  • Sellers are responsible for ensuring their products comply with BIS standards, safety norms, labelling, and packaging regulations (where applicable)
  • Duplicate, false, or spam listings are not allowed

Stock Management

Sellers are responsible for updating stock availability in real-time

Out of Stock Items

Orders cannot be accepted for out-of-stock products without clear communication to buyers

Bulk orders should be handled with proper inventory planning to ensure timely delivery

6. Order Fulfilment

  • Orders must be processed and shipped within the committed time frame
  • Sellers must provide tracking details once the order is dispatched
  • Delays should be communicated proactively to buyers, along with revised delivery timelines
  • If unable to fulfil an order, the seller must cancel the order and inform both the buyer and platform immediately
  • Delayed or failed dispatches may result in order cancellation, penalties, or account suspension

Tax Compliance

Prices must be inclusive of all applicable taxes (GST)

Invoicing

A valid GST invoice must be issued to buyers for every order

Payment Process
  • Buyer payments are collected by Brassitem.com (LockersAdda) and held in trust until order completion
  • Seller payouts are made to the registered bank account after deducting:
    • Platform commission fees
    • Payment gateway charges
    • Applicable GST/taxes
  • Settlement timeline: 7-10 business days after successful order delivery (subject to returns/refunds)
  • Any disputes in payment should be reported within the specified timeframe as detailed in the dispute resolution process

9. Commission & Fees

  • Brassitem.com charges sellers a commission on each successful order, along with applicable GST on commission
  • The exact commission percentage varies by product category and will be communicated to the seller at the time of onboarding
  • Additional charges may apply for optional services (advertising, promotions, premium listings)
  • All payments will be processed to the registered bank account after deducting applicable charges

10. Returns, Refunds, and Disputes

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes raised by customers should be addressed promptly, and sellers are expected to cooperate with the platform's mediation process

Final Decision

The decision of Brassitem.com in such disputes will be final and binding

Repeated or unresolved disputes may lead to penalties or account suspension

Sellers may escalate unresolved disputes as per the Dispute Resolution Policy

11. Prohibited Activities

Consequences

Failure to maintain performance standards may lead to:

  • Monetary penalties or withholding of payouts
  • Permanent suspension or termination of seller account

  • Sellers are responsible for ensuring that the products listed do not infringe on trademarks, patents, or copyrights
  • If an IP complaint is raised against a product, sellers must cooperate with the platform and the complainant during investigation
  • Repeated violations may result in account termination

14. Tax Compliance

Tax Responsibility

Sellers are responsible for complying with all applicable taxes, including GST and export duties

Invoicing

Invoices must be issued accurately with proper tax details

Non-Compliance

Non-compliance may lead to penalties, delays in payment settlement, or account restrictions
